Disney fans have even more Stitch to look forward to!

Just when we though Experiment 626 couldn’t get into any more trouble, Disney has officially announced a brand-new animated short called Lilo & Scratch, which will debut exclusively in theaters alongside Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming film Hexed on November 25, 2026.
Stitch Meets His Match
This new short introduces Scratch, an adorable-looking rescue cat who turns out to be much more than she appears. Disney has teased that Scratch may finally be the one character capable of giving Stitch a run for his money.
From the preview shown at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, fans can expect plenty of hilarious chaos as Stitch tries to protect everyone’s favorite fish, Pudge, from the mischievous newcomer.
A Return to the Original Look
One of the most exciting details is that Disney is recreating the beautiful watercolor style that made the original 2002 Lilo & Stitch so memorable. According to the filmmakers, the short combines traditional animation techniques with modern technology to faithfully capture the look and feel of the original movie.
Even better, Chris Sanders returns as the voice of Stitch, while Maia Kealoha reprises her role as Lilo.
Only in Theaters
Unlike many Disney shorts that eventually arrive on Disney+, Lilo & Scratch will first be shown exclusively in theaters before screenings of Hexed, giving fans another great reason to head to the movies this November.
My Thoughts
As a huge Stitch fan, I couldn’t be more excited about this announcement! It’s wonderful to see Disney continuing to invest in one of its most beloved characters, especially after the incredible success of the live-action Lilo & Stitch film.
The return to the original watercolor-inspired animation style feels like a love letter to longtime fans, and I can’t wait to meet Scratch to see if she really can outsmart everyone’s favorite blue alien.
Will you be heading to theaters this November to watch Lilo & Scratch? Let me know in the comments – I’d love to hear what you think of Disney’s newest Stitch adventure!
